Industry
Northwest Colorado is home to several coal mines and electrical power plants. In this Photosynth you can see the Craig Station Power Plant and can zoom to see the draglines at Trapper Mine on the hillside behind the plant. The collage shows some of the equipment used at the Trapper Mine. The mine and plant are just south of Craig. We can see them from our playground. Many of our students have parents who work at the Power Plant or in coal mines. Below you will see student artwork depicting their experiences with this important part of our community.
